Haiti, Quelle Reconstruction?
That was the title of the Conference / Concert / Cocktail sponsored by Calvary Chapel Port-au-Prince and Monique Cesar Guillaume Ministries at the Karibe Convention Center on September 24, 2011. Were invited, the decisions takers of our society. This was a huge success and we are already working on the 2012 calendar to target specific group to stop and think about the problem of this land. The solution starts with God guiding the path of men through practical ways.
The speakers were Steve Cole and Buz Underhill III
Reconstruction starts with the inner man: Relationship with God through Jesus-Christ and religion.

Don't stop following your dreams

"Don't stop following your dreams" was the title of the message last Sunday in our church CC P-au-P. I asked to congregation to share their dreams with me and the feedback was tremendous. Matthew 28: 20b was the key verse: "I am with you always to the end of the age". If you are a Christ Follower, the sky is the limit of what you can accomplish. Go ahead and make something happens for the glory of God.

Street Kids Ministry

This background is a picture of our street kids beach baptism in 2008.
We are praying about resuming the street kids ministry by doing a boot-camp that will last a few years. That will require:
1) about 6 acres of land that we don't intend to buy but to enter a partnership with another ministry that owns such property already;
2) to have a couple of police officers in our assembly to step up and lead this ministry; that will require the police department to keep them in their payroll for the amount of time required (rotation may work).
3) for a couple of churches to partner with us to build the necessary facility and help run the place;

The Lord is already in this and is gathering the human ressources already from feedback we have so far from folks coming to CC Port-au-Prince.

Help us pray about this project as we have been talking about it for a while now but we see that the Lord is moving the hearts of our congregation currently.

On the move

On the move.
Went to visit my sick mother in law in Montreal, my relatives in mourning in Roselle, NJ, officiated my niece's wedding in Long Island, NY and now in Palm Bay, FL on my way to Haiti by week end. I'll try posting pictures soon.
My love to all you for praying for the ministry in Haiti. This Sunday we will have a 2nd Sunday morning service. Children ministry continues to grow, 200 children last Sunday.

God's blessings and the Holy Spriti's anointing on all you.

Hello everyone,
I had a blessed time on my most recent trip to Calvary Christian Family in Port-au-Prince Haiti. The children are strong and full of excitement. When I walked in the door, within minutes I had ten kids all trying to climb on me at once and I thought I was going to collapse to the floor with the weight of them all.
School ended in June for the kids and I was able to see the kids in some of their final classes. The boys all seem to love school and love learning.When I visit they enjoy practicing English with me. They like to count in English and name different parts of their bodies in English.
On this particular trip, I made it a point to sit down with each of the workers and talk to them about their jobs. It was such a privilege to see how God has been working in their lives since they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord. As a general rule, the workers all began by simply learning the word of God through teachings and personal Bible studies. Within a few months they began to serve in different ministries in the church and were discipled. Those who were faithful and seemed to have a particularly calling and joy in working in the children's ministries were chosen to work at CCF in the capacities of caregivers. Others were chosen to serve in logistics type ministries including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance tasks.
As I asked the workers what they liked most about their jobs, the most common answer was "I like to play with the kids". It is wonderful to see Christians serve in the areas where God has called them. When I asked the workers what God has been teaching them in their jobs at CCF, the following answers were given: humility, patience, to love others more and kindness.
One of the workers whom I have known for years now and have grown very close to has the testimony of being orphaned as a child. Both his parents died and by the time he was about 10-years old he was put in an orphanage where he was abused. After some time he ran away and lived on the streets until he came to Christ as a young man. He has lived and served in the church for many years now and has served in CCF for the past year. He is a very godly hardworking young man.
When I asked him what he was learning at CCF, he said God is teaching him how children are supposed to be raised.
I hope you can see that CCF is not just a home for the children but it is a home for the workers as well. As in all ministries, the overflow of love and healing that God is giving the workers is being poured out into the children the serve. Please keep these workers in your prayers as they serve in this wonderful ministry.
Also, there are two additional boys who are in the process of being "adopted" into CCF. We will follow up with more details.

Prison Ministry

We are going to a city jail in Petion-Ville weekly for Bible Study and are filling paperwork for other jails and prison. Please keep this new ministry in prayers (specially the 3 young leaders involved).

Heavy Rain Update

Heavy rain on June 6, 2011 had a devasting effect on people and properties in the capital and a few other cities. The orphanage is ok. Some of the church brothers and sisters were affected but we don't have numbers yet. God is in control. We had church service last night with a reduced group, about 60, since people don't go out much in the evening. We used a small room since the tent can't be trusted during rains.
